Bri Pruett is a stand-up comedian, actor, and writer from Portland, Oregon, now living in Los Angeles. Her TEDxTalk on beauty standards dropped in 2018. In 2017, she was featured on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle. In 2016 she won the Willamette Week reader’s poll for Best Comedian in Portland. Splitsider.com has named her a “comic-to-watch,” and she’s appeared on Dan Savage’s Savage Lovecast, Doug Loves Movies and NPR’s Live Wire. Her live festival appearances include: Bridgetown, SF Sketch Fest, Bumbershoot, and more.
Her solo show, STELLAR, debuted in Portland in 2016, and was later staged in the 2018 Bootleg Solo Queens Fest. It’s been called, “Unaplogetically feminine…” and “Body-positive, pro-self love and pro-female sexuality… Overtly feminist and feel-good.” Bri's high-energy performances and optimistic message was forged in her background of theater, sketch and improv comedy. For decades she's worked in the performing arts, both onstage and in the classroom, and her expertise is available in student-comedy workshops or educational Q&As beyond stand-up sets. |
