TECH / INTRO
Born in Tokyo, Japan, Aiko Tanaka is a stand-up comedian, actress and TV personality. She aims to be the first Japanese speaking comedian with a one hour comedy special. In her spare time she loves to take naps, watch anime and eat boiled vegetables, but when she’s onstage she is a real firecracker. She first appeared on-screen in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (blink and you might miss her). Aiko was a semi-finalist on Season 17 of America’s Got Talent, receiving a standing ovation from all four judges, she was called “Brilliant,” “Hilarious” and “So Naughty!” (Thanks Simon Cowell!) She has been featured on The Jim Jeffries Show and Comedy Central’s Stand Up Asia! Live. In her day job, Aiko is a translator. She loves her job because when she screws up, she’s the only person who knows about it.
