Jamie Shriner is a comedian who began her career in Chicago, IL. A former theatre kid, and current queer, deaf, & mentally ill gig-worker, Jamie uses humorous, original songs to discuss her hearing loss and mental illness alongside her struggles with body image, dating, womanhood, and being queer in her home state of Indiana. Jamie was named Best of the Fest at Big Pine Comedy Festival. This host and producer of Chicago Underground Comedy has opened for the likes of Beth Stelling, Randy Feltface, and Chrissy Chlapecka, and she’s a former Features Contributor for The Onion.

As a classically trained musical theatre performer and writer, Jamie Shriner is sick and tired of all the bad musical comedy. With so many people writing comedy songs, many of these songs lack the ability to deliver punchlines throughout while heightening the main joke in the chorus. At the core of her work, Jamie believes the best way to get funny is to get vulnerable, honest, and sincere. Through a rigorous workshop of song structure and songwriting exercises including improv games and idea trees, Jamie is able to take your songwriting to new heights. Beat even the toughest of writer's block and unlock your creativity in this hour long workshop that breathes new life into songwriting.
