Irene Tu was a pleasure to watch and work with and we’re so grateful for her performance this
year at the Annual Gayla! Irene exuded warmth and authenticity with an infectious enthusiasm
that had the entire audience engaged. Irene made a great impression on the LGBTQ+ students of UChicago and we’d love to work with her again in the future.

I wholeheartedly recommend catching Irene’s performances whenever you have the chance for a night of great comedic brilliance! Her crowd work was exceptional and she navigated a young
audience of college students expertly, making everyone feel included and engaged. We so appreciate her coming to the University and making the whole process and experience so seamless and easy.

Not only was she a pleasure to watch perform but a pleasure to work with! She talked with students after the performance exchanging warm anecdotes, advice, and taking photos. We

Irene Tu’s comedy performance at the UChicago 2023 Annual Gayla on May 5th was amazing! Irene was timely and organized, responsive and easy to work with throughout the entirety of the
process. It was an absolute dream to work with her this year, and I’m so thankful she was able to come out.

Irene’s unapologetic honesty, creativity, and charm were so much fun to watch and had everyone engaged and laughing. Irene had great stage presence with an infectious, laid back energy that
made the audience feel comfortable and connected to her comedy. Her great timing and range had us all laughing throughout the performance.

Irene effortlessly navigated a range of topics touching on personal personal experiences, societal norms, and the hilarious absurdities of everyday life. Irene's sharp insights and intelligent
observations shed light on the complexities of the LGBTQ+ experience perfect for our event for the LGBTQ+ community in Chicago.

It went really well! …  I think the audience connected with her in a really authentic way. Right off the bat they had a good vibe. Her points about leadership were accessible to the audience and her engagement was welcomed by them. Lots of hands going up for questions and feedback! Her comedy was a huge hit at the end and folks really wanted to stick around even longer to stay for her Q&A. We loved having her and getting to meet her. Our students would be interested in having her on campus next semester or next spring.
